Queens Park Rangers remained top of the Nationwide Two after a comprehensive defeat of Hartlepool.

Rangers eventually won 4-1 after goals from Gallen (2), Gino Padula and Gareth Ainsworth. Eifion Williams scored Hartlepool's consolation.

Ian Holloway told the official QPR website "This was a big win for me today"

He said. "We attacked it, we went at it and I was delighted with how we performed today.Things are going well at the moment and it's there for us if we want it.

"We've got 25 games left and we have a great chance to have a great season. We've all worked hard from top to bottom and it's vital that we keep it going."

Holloway continued "We got a bit sloppy (in the second half)and I'm disappointed that we didn't win the second half. But it's three more points and that's very satisfying"

Holloway was particularly delighted with the Loftus Road attendance. A crowd of over 15,000 watched the victory and Holloway said, "It was tremendous - what a noise. I still have to pinch myself."
