Rangers have topped the Championship for almost the entire season and look odds-on to complete their return to the top flight after an absence of 15 years.
But left-back Hill told the club's official website: "We know what we have to do, we need to finish in the top two. It's as simple as that.
"We can't help what other people say, we have to keep level-headed and keep doing what we have been doing to give ourselves the best chance of finishing in the automatic places.
"We have been there or thereabouts all season and we know teams are going to raise their game against us, so if we are not at 100% it is going to be very tough. That is what the Championship is all about."
