Hill was dismissed by referee Phillip Crossley following an alleged altercation with Swansea defender Alan Tate in the Boxing Day clash at Loftus Road.
But at a meeting with the Football Association`s Regulatory Commission, the R`s appeal against the decision was upheld.
"In my mind it was never a red card in the first place," Hill told the club`s official website. "I`m thankful the powers that be have looked at it and agreed.
"It was a massive relief we went on to win the game - maybe I did the lads a favour by going off! In all seriousness, I was wrong to get involved [with Tate] but the lads produced a great performance to win the game in style.
"We`re in good form and we`ll go [to Norwich] and enjoy the occasion and atmosphere at what is a great place to play."
