Griffin's red card rescinded

Andy Griffin's red card has been struck off the record. The Stoke player was sent off at Loftus Rd on Sunday but he's off the hook. Too late though to have helped his side from being beat 3 - 0.

Griffin made a clean tackle which was incorrectly interpreted by the referee.

Andy D'Urso agreed to look again at the video evidence and the FA have now upheld City's appeal against the decision.

Griffin's three-match suspension will therefore not stand, meaning he will be available for Stoke's Coca-Cola Championship game at home to Burnley on Saturday and subsequent trips to Norwich and Watford.
