Gnohere talks back ON

The 25 year-old is due at the Twyford Avenue training ground on Wednesday afternoon and his representatives will sit down with Club officials to try and thrash out a deal.

Gnohere has been Ian Holloway's number one target to replace the stricken Dan Shittu following the Nigerian international's anterior cruciate ligament injury ruled him out for nine months.

But after the first round of discussions last week, it appeared that the Club and the player were miles apart and any proposed deal looked dead in the water.

Nevertheless, a week on, negotiations have re-opened and although both parties are hopeful that a deal can be done, Rangers officials are cautious with their optimism.

Chief Executive David Davies said: "Arthur is the player we would like to bring to Loftus Road, but obviously any deal has to be right for all concerned.

"We will sit down with the player's representatives and hopefully talks will reach a satisfactory conclusion."
