Four out of Tranmere game

Chris Day will miss the next three games with the injury that kept him out of Friday's draw with Peterborough whilst Rangers squad will be further stretched for Saturday's trip to Tranmere with three other players set to be unavailable.

Day has an abscess on his thigh that required surgery and will miss the next couple of week's action, including games against Tranmere, Port Vale and Oldham.

Meanwhile Clarke Carlisle and Richard Johnson look likely to miss Saturday's visit to Prenton Park having both suffered sprained ankles during Friday nights game.

Add to that list Dean Marney who has apparently returned to Tottenham. The Spurs official website reports his loan as ending and that Marney will feature for their reserves tonight. Nothing on the QPR official site to confirm this though.

With Carlisle out and Terrell Forbes likely to switch to centre back Marney could have been looking at a start on Saturday however his absence leaves our struggling defence looking even thinner than ever.
