Davies deal looks off

Rangers offered Davies double his Boro salary but the defender wanted around £8,000-a-week - more than twice the wage of the current highest-earning player at Loftus Road.

Boro accepted a bid for Davies on Tuesday.

But he has three-and-a-half years of his contract at the Riverside Stadium left to run and quickly made it clear it would take a big offer to prise him away.
