Davies contemplates taking Wright to court

QPR are still waiting to hear from Wasps officials regarding the contract between the two clubs, a week after it was revealed that Wasps will not be returning to Loftus Road next season.

As part of the agreement between the two, if Wasps fail to return in August for the new season, they are liable for substantial compensation to their former landlords, but according to QPR Chief Executive David Davies they have been kept in the dark.

"They put a message on their club website on March 30 saying they were staying at Wycombe and they informed us the next day which I thought was pretty poor," said Davies this week.

"As far as we are concerned there is a contract between the two clubs and we expect them to abide by that, but as yet we have heard absolutely nothing from them.

"I would genuinely hope that we don't have to resort to taking the matter to court, but I have been here for four years now and in my experience nothing really goes smoothly.

"I don't really want to go down the road of taking a former chairman (Chris Wright) to court."

With Wasps now committed to Wycombe for next season, it would seem that no-one will share Loftus Road next season.

"Obviously we approached Brentford as we thought that it would be a good move for both clubs, but I think their plan is to move to a new stadium, while it is still unclear which division they will be in next season," said Davies.

"It was a cordial meeting though and I wish them the very best, but it seems likely that we won't be sharing next season which is a shame."
