Club physio Prav Mathema said: "This is obviously great news and we are all delighted. Clarke's surgeon is happy that he's suffered no reaction to his previous injury, but he has suffered some irritation on his knee joint and will be out of action for three to four weeks while the swelling goes down."

You can catch Clarke in action tonight on ITV's 'Britain's Brainest', kick-off 8.30pm.

Meanwhile, Stuart Wardley capped his home debut for Rushden & Diamonds with a goal in the 2-0 defeat of Macclesfield.

Manager Brian Talbot said: “Stewart Wardley was first class. His aerial ability in midfield was there for all to see. He won so many headers for us and he capped a fine performance with a well-taken goal."

Elsewhere, Sammy Koejoe has joined Austrian 2nd Division side SC Lustenau for the remainder of the season.
