Will You Go To...

Cardiff's notorious reputation for trouble shouldn't put you off attending this fixture, but for many it no doubt will. If you're sensible enough, you probably won't encounter any trouble.

Like Millwall, Cardiff don't attract the large numbers of visiting fans enjoyed by other teams. Crystal Palace took just 1,600 to the New Den on Boxing Day, whilst Blackburn a meagre 700 for their trip there in the FA Cup 4th round — Scunthorpe took more than that in round 3.

How much is it to get? £12.50 adults/£7.00 cons.

Allocation? 1,500 terrace spaces available. Cardiff put a roof on the end pre-season, enhancing the atmosphere for both sets of fans who share the end. Understandably, there is a large amount unused due to segregation.

Nearest station? Ninian Park Halt, which is only a couple of minutes walk from the ground. This station is on a local line which is served by trains from Cardiff Central.

Going by car? To avoid driving through the centre of Cardiff, leave the M4 at junction 33 and take the A4232 towards Cardiff/Barry. Keep on this road and you will eventually see the ground in the distance on your left. A huge car park accommodates for all, but beware when returning after the game.

Feeling thirsty? Er, the sensible thing would be to avoid any pub within ten miles of the ground, but Cardiff is a big enough city to find somewhere safe enough — perhaps a taster for our return trip in May...
